Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a spa cost? | Back to list of FAQ’s
Should I have my spa built with my pool or add one on after?
Building your spa at the same time as your pool will reduce costs significantly. Spas require plumbing, electrical and gas work (if it’s heated with gas) before the spa is poured. If you choose some one other than the original pool company, the digging and adding new outlets and controls could cause damage to your pool or effect pressure in the pump area.
How much will it cost?
Your Blue Diamond design consultant will give a good understanding of all costs associated with building and owning an in-ground spa. They will also help you understand how the cost will be affected by the material, water feature, equipment, and overall size of the pool and spa area.
What are my heating options and expected utility costs?
You can choose gas or electric heat. Costs are determined by how often you use your spa and at what temperature, if you keep it covered, and the size of the spa. Gas and electric costs are also affected by the area of the country where you live. Spa owners report costs of pennies per day up to $20 per month.
